The Ensemble

The musicians and dancers of Musica et Saltatoria will revive the dances of past eras. The ensemble's formation is closely linked with the Derra de Moroda Dance Archives, (Department of Music and Dance at the University of Salzburg), which includes an internationally reputed dance collection.

The ensemble of Musica et Saltatoria turns the results of scientific research on original sources of the 16th  19th century into wonderful dancing performances.

The members of the ensemble have performed in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands and the USA. They have participated in opera, video, movie and television productions.

By the way, on the occasion of Mozart's 250th anniversary, 220,000 visitors saw the dancers of Musica et Saltatoria in a movie that was produced for the special "Viva! Mozart" exhibition.
